The
Great Crackin' Cancer Horse Trail Ride -
to raise money for cancer research!
"EVERY DAY WILL SEE THE RIDERS GOING INTO A DIFFERENT AREA OF THE MAGNIFICENT SURROUNDING COUNTRY SIDE, TRAVERSING, CREEKS, RIVERS, FORESTS, BUSH AND HISTORIC OLD MINE AREAS."
This is the country of the wild New England Ranges, country that few people would ever see other than the landowners and stockmen.
When: October 31st (Sunday) to November 6th (Saturday)
Why: The purpose of the trail ride is to raise much needed funds, which are vitally important to the continuation of important research into causes and cures of this debilitating disease called cancer.
Where: Three Waters "High Country" Holiday Farm and surrounding district, set in the New England ranges, which is located fifteen kilometers north west of Glen Innes, NSW Australia.
This ride
could only take place with the consent and approval of the various large property
land holders.
To assure and satisfy the landowners that the ride will be well organized, and
to keep their good will and cooperation, an experienced horseman, Mr Graeme
Sleeman was approached by Mr Fittler and appointed as Chief Steward.
Mr
Sleeman is a long serving member and former President of ATHRA Queensland (Australian
Trail Horse Riding Association) he will be in charge and responsible for a number
of trail marshalls who will ensure that all gates will be opened and closed
as found with no disturbance to property or stock. Mr Sleeman has had much experience
in the co-ordination and supervision of Day rides and week rides and week long
ride camps and horse riding events.
The distance of each days ride will be approximately 25 to 30 kilometers.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL OWNERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR HORSE AND ENSURE THAT
